Final Update

Here is the final installment in the K2 Blog. I am attaching links to a couple of articles that have been done, written by people I know. The facts are pretty much in order, and they both present a good overview.

The first article is by Michael Kodas, writing for Outside. Outside decided to put the article online and I am not sure if it will be in the magazine.

The second article is by Matthew Power, and will appear in the November issue of Men’s Journal.

I contributed photo’s for both pieces. I also believe Rock and Ice will be doing a piece, but I have not heard of the publication date.

Thank you for your support during the climb and after. As with anything in life, you never do it alone. You might be on the mountain by yourself, but there is a team that is supporting you. The encouragement, thoughts, and prayers I received during the climb were absolutely essential to my success, and my decision to turnaround.

The question I keep receiving is what is next? That is a great question and one I hope to have an answer for soon.

Climb Hard, Climb High, COME HOME!!!

Hi Chris,

I am reading Ed Viesturs book on K2, where he shows a breathtaking photograph of yours (2008 expedition), catching all K2's shoulder, bottleneck and up to the Summit. One can see, with magnification several of the expeditions' members at the traverse above the bottleneck, like little dots.
The shot was taken shortly after the first casualty (the serbian).
Unfortunately, the photo in Ed's book is small and is only magnified within a small region.

I would love to see the photo in full resolution if you could send it. For instance, Ed says that Alberto Zerain can be seen high above, but I see nothing.

I am not a mountaineer, just a mountaineering facts enthusiast.
Could you provide me the whole photo in HD?

Thank you so much,

Francisco (francisco.p.brito@gmail.com)
